"Mei Lanfang" competition bound in Berlin

Fest organizers on Friday announced 10 new films screening in Competition, with four films celebrating their world premieres in Berlin and four unspooling out of competition in the Competition section. Chen Kaige's "Mei Lanfang," Stephen Daldry’s “The Reader,” Lukas Moodysson’s “Mammoth” and, curiously, Harald Zwart’s “Pink Panther II” are among the titles screening in the main section of next year’s Berlin Film Festival, which runs Feb. 5-15.
