Lau Chingwan's performance in 'My Name is Fame' won the Best Actor Award. Gong Li was Best Actress for 'Curse of the Golden Flower' but shared the award with Twins pop star Gillian Chung for her performance in 'Simply Actors'. Best Picture was also shared between not two, but three separate films, 'Exiled', 'A Battle of Wits' and 'After this Our Exile'. Johnnie To took best director for 'Exiled'.
Zhou Xun took Best Supporting Actress for 'Banquet', the same award she took at the HK Film Awards. Bet Supporting Actor went to young Ng King-to, who played the son in 'After This Our Exile'.
