Boyband uses Star Power to Boost Taiwan Tourism

In coordination with the Taiwan Tourism Board, the four members of the soon disbanding boyband 'F4' (now renamed 'JVKV') came together to help promote Taiwan tourism and boost the local economy.  They held an international fan meeting in Taipei this past weekend.  In addition to meetings and visits to locations from the 'Meteor Garden' TV show that shot them to fame,  an event was held at National Taiwan University's Gymnasium that included merchandise and a fan meeting with the F4 members themselves (including Vanness Wu -  click to view his blog entry on the event).

The event brought an estimated 5000 fans from overseas to Taiwan, mostly from South Korea and Japan.
