Chinese-American film director Dayyan Eng has been selected to make the first ever short film to open the Chinese Mainland equivalent of the Oscar awards - the Golden Rooster Awards. The Awards will be held later this month in Suzhou. Eng's film will replace the usual dance number at the opening of the ceremony.
