Musician Wong Ka-Keung is exhibiting mementos from his late brother, Wong Ka-Kui, to mark the 15th anniversary of his death. Wong
Ka-Keung, who played bass in the four-piece Hong Kong band Beyond, led
family members in welcoming fans to the opening of the exhibition
Monday at the Cattle Depot Artist Village in Hong Kong. Items on
display include a guitar that band founder Ka-Kui played for 20 years,
copies of his manuscripts, and Beyond's original recording equipment.
Wong Ka-Kui died on June 30, 1993, days after he
fell off a three-meter platform while filming a TV show in Tokyo. He
had just turned 31. Ka-Kui founded Beyond in 1983. The band soon
drew a loyal following with such popular hits as "Boundless Oceans,
Vast Skies" and "Glorious Years."
