A Buddhist prayer ceremony was held yesterday at the Hong Kong Coliseum to
pray for the victims and the survivors of the Sichuan Earthquake that
destroyed towns and villages in Central China last week. Faye Wong was among the famous faces in the congregation and she
had returned to Hong Kong from her home in Beijing especially to attend
the ceremony. She was accompanied by Jacky Cheung and Aloys Chen.
When asked if she would like to go and visit the areas affected by the
quake, Faye said that she will not be going just yet because it is
still quite chaotic. She added that she has no plans to hold a charity
concert, but will consider taking part in the HKPAG charity film and
the concert fundraiser in June.
