HK TV goes digital

The HK government along with ATV and TVB have settled on a digital broadcast standard for their transition to digital terrestrial broadcasting. Service is expected to start by the end of 2007 and analog broadcasts will end around 2012. By that time all TV viewers must either use a TV with a digital tuner or a set-top box to view broadcast TV signals.
