Hou Hsiao-hsien sees 'Spring' Coming for Taiwan Film

Acclaimed Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-hsien ('City of Sadness', 'Millenium Mambo') spoke recently at the Shanghai International Film Festival on the state of the industry in Taiwan and the pursuit of a unique cultural identity for Chinese film. He is there to premiere his latest project, 'The Voyage for the Red Balloon', his first Western produced film.
