Jackie Chan Records Sorrow-relief Album for Quake Victims

Kung Fu superstar Jackie Chan organized more than thirty South Korean entertainers to record a music album to raise money for May 12th earthquake victims on Thursday. The Hong Kong-based action hero says he will make the album available through the Internet and sell a DVD that includes the entire recording process. All the earnings from online downloads and the sales of DVDs will be donated to the disaster-stricken Sichuan people.

Shinhwa member Kim Dong-wan, Chae Yeon, Kim Ah-joong, Wheesung, Park Yong-Ha, Park Jin-Young and other pop stars took part in the charity event.Chan rushed to Sichuan Province just four days after the earthquake to help the relief effort. In addition to the movie, he is planning charity events with about 100 other Asian artists, slated to take place in Hong Kong and Chengdu, Sichuan's capital, next month.
