Jet and Jackie in Race Against Clock to Finish 'Kingdom'

Martial arts super stars Jet Li and Jackie Chan have had a difficult time finishing their long-awaited collaboration, titled 'Forbidden Kingdom' in English.  Jackie has just returned from the US where he promoted the release of his latest film 'Rush Hour 3' - attending the red carpet in LA and also appearing on the David Letterman Show, amongst other appearanecs.  He rushed back to Asia to continue filming, with a few detours for his numerous public appearances, including attending the 2008 Olympics 1-year countdown event in Beijing.

Jet Li has also been quite busy, last month his charty foundation (The One Foundation) held a grand prix event in Shanghai.  In the film he plays two parts, as a monk and as the folklore character 'The Monkey King',  but his scenes must be complete by the end of August, as his next film, 'The Mummy 3', in which he plays the mummified 'First Emperor' of China, has already started filming in Canada.

Jet also has a movie hitting the theaters this month - an American production titled 'War' costarring Jason Statham,  and ANOTHER one next month,  Peter Chan's 'Warlords',  a Chinese language epic period piece set in the middle of an ancient war.  Jet costars with Andy Lau and Takeshi Kaneshiro.  Peter Chan is currently in post production, hoping to finish the film in time to qualify for the foreign language Academy Award category.
