The eagerly anticipated 3rd film in the 'Mummy' series has started filming in Montreal, Canada this week. But as you probably know,
Jet Li is still in China filming the 'J&J Project' - 'Forbidden Kingdom' with Jackie Chan in China. According to CRI, Jet will join the cast and crew in Xi'an in September. Jet is slated to play Qin Shi Huangdi, the first emperor to unite China in the 2nd century BC. Portions of the film will be shot inside the Terracotta Warriors museum in Xi'an, the first for a Hollywood film.
In addition to Brenden Fraiser, Jet will also face Michelle Yeoh this time. Li and Yeoh last appeared on screen together in 1993's 'Taichi Master'. The film also features Russell 'The Vanishing Son' Wong, who last worked with Jet in 2000's 'Romeo Must Die'. Filming is set to complete by November and the film is aiming for an August 2008 release.
