Kaneshiro Takeshi to return to Japanese Cinema as Master Criminal

Kaneshiro Takeshi's latest project 'Warlords' has opened to big box office numbers in Hong Kong and China, and will get a Japanese release in 2008,  but he is not resting for long before jumping into his next project.  

It was recently announced that Takeshi will star with 'Tokyo Tower' actress and singer Matsu Takako in an upcoming Japanese production.  The film is an adaptation of the popular novel by Kitamura So, based on the characters of famed mystery writer Edogawa Rampo.  Takeshi will not play Rampo's famous detective character Akechi Kogorō, he will play a master thief and Matsu will play the target of his crime.

According to Variety, the title in Japanese is 'K-20: Kaijin niju menso den'  (The Fiend With Twenty Faces)
