At a press conference summarizing the accomplishments of the organization in Beijing on Thursday, Jet Li compared the foundation as a toddler still learning to walk. In the organization's most recent strive, One Foundation agreed with Boao Forum for Asia 2008 to hold a charity forum every December in Beijing, which will make One Foundation as well as China's charity campaign more global.
In early March, One Foundation tied the knot with Huayi Brothers Film Corporation. The leading corporation in China's film industry promised to donate part of its movies' box office income to the fund in the next ten years. Jet Li's latest work "The Forbidden Kingdom", which just held its world premiere on Wednesday, will be the starter of the agreement. Recognized by both Chinese and western audience as an actor, Jet Li said movie is a career and the One Foundation is a life. His devotion has won him thousands of supporters from home and abroad.
