Remake of Korean Movie "The Uninvited" at No. 2 in U.S.

"The Uninvited," a Hollywood remake of the Korean film "A Tale of Two Sisters" attracted the second largest audience in North America on the day of its release. The film, which was released last Friday in 2,344 cinemas across the U.S., raked in US$4.3 million on the day. "A Tale of Two Sisters" was written and directed by Kim Jee-woon. In the remake directed by the Guard brothers, Charles and Thomas, Elizabeth Banks ("Spider 3") plays Rachel in the Lim Soo-jung role in the original. "The Uninvited" is released by Paramount Pictures.
