Sun Will Still Rise, Just a bit Later

Director Jiang Wen's troubled production titled 'The Sun Also Rises' was withdrawn from Cannes in May at the last minute due to unexplained post-production issues.  The original theatrical release was set for June, but that was also postponed.  On Sunday Jiang Wen held a press conference with several of the movie's stars to announce the release will now be scheduled for September, after it premieres at the Venice Film Festival.    Jaycee Chan and Joan Chen who are featured in the film also attended, but Zhou Yun, the female lead was unable to attend.
