This summer he has three movies coming out - the first 'Invisible Target' is along an action path, but the next two are dramas. 'The Drummer' is a film by director Kenneth Bi that was written explicitly with Jaycee in mind. He plays a troubled youth from Hong Kong who is sent to train with a Zen drumming troupe in the mountains in Taiwan. As an avid musician, Jaycee is well suited to the role. The performance is getting very good early reviews and the film will debut at the Locarno Film International Festival this month.
Chan's third movie of the summer will be director Jiang Wen's troubled 'The Sun Also Rises' which was withdrawn from Cannes and now is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival next month. It tells the story of an illicit love affair during the Cultural Revolution in China.
