Wong Kar Wai Signed with Hollywood Agency

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has signed Wong Kar Wai, marking the first time the Hong Kong-based director has had a Hollywood agent. The director said he will work with CAA to develop and direct English-language projects. Wong's "In the Mood for Love" was named best foreign-language film by the New York Film Critics Circle and National Society of Film Critics, and he received the director prize at Cannes for "Happy Together." Wong served as president of the jury at Cannes in 2006, becoming the first Chinese prexy in that festival history.
