I don't like funerals because I prefer to carry the memories of my loved ones as they were when they were made:  alive.

Sounds (no pun intended) like you came up with a direction for your scene.  Good luck with everything!  =)

I was listening in the balcony....started to be with dead silence then with cricket sound...then with ups & downs of cricket sound...all of a sudden i was shocked silence is not silence...we have ups & downs in silence...

thx Kenji & snowduck. U know cutting is not making. U have to live with the existing shot footage. But your moments give me a new insight to deal with the existing footage. I delibrately extend dead silence... sound of silence. a moment which could always be found in my film. I was sitting in the balcony outside my cutting room today...i've recognised alone is not alone...

the most sentimental moment is probably when you are watching the face of your deceased close one in the funeral and you realize you haven't spent enough time with him/her, that makes you feel the most heartbroken i guess.

My grandmother used to look for four-leafed-clover all her life. Wherever she went, she would eventually bend down to pick one. The funeral was an awkward affair, full of pent-up feelings. My youngest sister looked on with a particularly indifferent expression. Some time during the service I saw her standing right next to the coffin, almost leaning on it. She left early, long before the coffin went into the ground. Only then, did my eyes fall on a tiny bouquet of four-leafed-clovers dangling from one of the coffin locks. There must have been dozens of them.  I teared up and, one after another, the mourners noticed the clover and gave way to their feelings of loss.

I don't know how many hours my sister had spent on her knees on dog-pooed, urban  grass patches looking for them.
