  I'm not sure what I drank on New Year's Eve this past year, but whatever it was, it created a monster this year.  I've been going non-stop literally.  Not complaining whatsoever, but it's a bit to the point now where a night like tonight, at the start of the weekend, is the only time I'll have to just get a chance not to have to do something.  (I do have a lot of shows on my DVR to catch up on.)
  
  Actually, I want to talk about this thing for a sec I just put in parenthesis.  Lately, I've been informing my friends to tune into a particular show this coming week at a particular time for good reason.  (See end.)   Many of them are actors.  And many of these actors write me back and tell me that they don't have a TV or that they don't watch TV.  I'm simply floored.  Here these actors who want to work on TV (amongst the other mediums out there) are and they don't have a TV???  If you work in any profession, you try to soak in as much about that profession however you can, right?  I would love to be on TV in some show and yet I don't watch any shows?  People, it's called homework.  You can do it.  I know you can.
  
  Anyways, I'm just doing a little Q2 reflecting and I have to say, life has been a little absurd as of late.  I wear many hats, but some days recently, I'm rotating them a little too much.  On Tuesday of this week, I was awake and at 'em by 5:30 in the morning working on a video project I'm doing with pro-basketball player Jeremy Lin on the East River in Manhattan.  We got some great stuff with him, took him back to our director's to shower and eat donuts and then escorted him to the train station since he had a 10am train to get to Boston but didn't exactly know how to get to where he had to go.  We got out of the cab at 9:58:30, had to sprint across a street, into the building, and across to the kiosk to get his ticket and then to the gate from where his train was actually leaving.  Basically, we made like Jason Bourne on the run and hit his gate as the agent was closing it screaming to wait for one more.  I can't believe he made it even as I assured him the whole cab ride that he'd be fine.  He probably entered the doors right as they were closing.  Phew.

  After that excitement, I headed home thinking I could chill/nap until 2, but found out that I had a last minute casting for a gig I'm not even certain what the product was for.  I changed and schlepped over to that, waited at least 45 minutes for a photo snap and then scurried home again to change and head over to the Tribeca Film Festival for a panel only to be followed by a screening of a film my friends over at Cherry Sky Films (Better Luck Tomorrow) helped to make.  I think I took two showers in this time frame.
  
  This was only a microcosm of what the year has felt like!

  In January, I had the pleasure of working on RZA's (kudos to him for his recent Californication casting!) The Man With the Iron Fists.  Feb/March was spent between California and Hawaii working on a couple of shorts and Hawaii 5.0.  And April has been back to New York doing various odds and ends things in NYC including the commercial casting grind as well as producing the JL Project.  Just today, I made official with the team behind an indie feature, to join the cast of a film I'm very excited to start digging into later this year.
  
  Later this year?  Oh yea, aside from this film, it'll be spent floating around between places for JL (the Bay, Boston, Asia), and then also seeing through one of the shorts I did in LA - a sci-fi thing called ID (like us on FB!)  Someone I've always thought of very highly, Ted Chung, directed this piece and all I can say is that I'm pretty sure it's going to be awesome.  ID will be making its premiere at the LA Film Festival in June.

  You may know that our film The People I've Slept With is now out on DVD/Netflix and thanks to you, we have reached 100,000+ ratings on Netflix within the first month of being out!  Queue it up and keep spreading the word folks!  You can buy it on DVD here:  Maya Entertainment.
  
  In addition to People being out in rotation, soon on Dramafever, you'll be able to stream Shanghai Rush, a reality game show I hosted in Shanghai a couple years back.  If you didn't get a chance to watch it then since it was only broadcast on ICS in Shanghai, here's another chance for you to laugh at me.  I'm surprised this thing still has legs!

  Oh, and so that brings me back to Hawaii 5.0!  I am sooooo lucky to have landed on the show in a couple of upcoming episodes this Monday May 2nd on CBS at 10PM as well as two weeks later in the season finale on May 16.  (If you are out of the US, you should be able to buy episodes off of iTunes within a week after it airs on TV.)
  
  I'm hoping that those who are following here will tune in to catch me give a turn as Charlie Fong, lab tech who helps 5.0 do what they do.  I'm in these 2 episodes and its undetermined at the moment whether there will be more in upcoming seasons, but if you like what you see, feel free to let the show know!  They take these feedback things seriously.
