  • mainland music band?

    Hi all.  Happy Tiger Year!

    Does anyone out there know of any musical acts based in mainland China?  Preferably Chinese citizens who sing in Chinese (but absolutely welcomed to sing in English or a blend of both)?  Fairly commercial, catchy, mainstream pop in nature.  Also, emerging.  Not a super established act.

    I'd be grateful if you could send me any examples, website, suggestions of any should you know of any.  It's for a performance in Shanghai in August.

    Hey Brian~! Hope all is well wit you out in Shanghai.  Your name comes up in LA quite a bit. Mostly the guys wanting to start up a BBall league.  Guess you were the point person in NYC.  Got any hints?

    I don't have any ideas for you w/Chinese acts. But do you have contact information for this website's originators? I'm sure they can get you into contact w/a ton of emerging talent in China.

    Also, doesn't the ExPat community out in Shanghai have a pretty extensive network? I'm sure someone there must know of something.

    LA is the same since NYE... Not much has changed since then. Oh~! Ran into your cousin a little while back. Maybe same weekend you were in town? I forget... days are running into each other now.
