Born in Taiwan to a large family with eight brothers and four sisters, COLLIN CHOU began his training in martial arts at the age of 5. When he was 12, he started his film career as a stunt man before landing his first leading role at the age of 18. After completing his two years military service in the Taiwan Army, Collin moved to Hong Kong to pursue acting.
Collin, who performs the majority of his own stunts, has appeared in more than 30 feature films for top action directors such as Sammo Hung, Yuen Woo Ping, Corey Yuen and Tsui Hark. Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, he was also a member of Sammo Hung’s team for 7 years.
In 1999, Collin decided to go to the US from Hong Kong to pursue higher education. During that time he made his break into Hollywood. His first two American films were the action packed THE MATRIX RELOADED and THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. Chou played the role of Seraph, the protector of the Oracle.
Since then, he has appeared in both action and non-action American and Asian films.
Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, Chou currently lives in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time in school to improve himself when he isn’t working on location.
