• Chicago - part 1

  Well I'm off work Friday and Monday! Why?  Well Friday I'm driving from Arkansas to Chicago, IL!
  I'm going up with my daughters and a friend - in my car. There's another whole caravan of folks traveling up but they're not leaving our area until 8pm! Me and my carload are leaving around 10AM.
  Why in the world are we driving to Chicago?
  1- Can't afford to get a plane ticket right now.  Already paid for the one to Arizona later this summer.  Besides I'd have to buy 3!
  2- We're going up for the Grandmaster Han's Martial Arts- Illinois State  Tournament .
  3- Why not? It's not a bad drive.  Just kinda long,  about 11 hours.
  4- I promised I'd be there!
  
  My friend just moved to Chicago to take over as Head Instructor of the State.  Right after he got there it was time to get things ready for this year's tournament! 
  Our tournaments are great fun.  I'm at a level now that I get to work as a judge as well as participate.
  The tournament is all day Saturday.
  
  Why am I taking off Monday if the tournament is just on Saturday?
  I'll be driving home right after the tournament is over and that means another 11 hours....
  
  Monday is for recuperation!!!
  
  Part 2 will include photos - I hope.  We'll see how things go on the trip and at the tournament!!
