All the traditonal trappings have shrunken to just eating moon cakes and having lanterns for the children to light up and walk about with them. Pretty sight.
Actually it used to be celebrated in a big way...meaning having a regular family feast in the evening, and adults drinking tea and eating mooncakes, and "admiring the full moon" late into the night, and perhaps letting poetic juices flow?? ( By this, you can guess how old I am!! :-) )
Now it is also a time for the restaurants and confection shop to come up with new flavours year after year to entice customers
