Yes, these are all absolutely the right point of how important of politic to every one of us.. It actually affect the most to those people who are at the middle to lower range citizen... They have no power, have no money, and they don't get to speak up some time..
I have started voting for the opposition since my 1st vote during at the age of 21.. I have never missed a voting chance...
I hope we can make change at our next election..

Poltics is a very sensative subject to write or talk about for that matter. everyone has their own opinion of it; so when you are in a social enviorment you usally hear that religion and politics arre avoided subjects. You have touched excellant points; you seem to have made a decision of not living in the usa, and see it in a different prospective... you actually see what alot of other countries see and what alot of american citizens stiil do not see. i enjoyed reading your comments...

Good discussion about why learning about politics is important Dan! I wonder about some things though... How do you know there was never any WMDs? Because the media told you? Do you think the media knows everything? Think about an idea: How hard would it be for someone like Saddam to order one of his people to take all the WMD from a storage facility and bury it in the middle of the desert? Iraq has a lot of desert... I don't know how they could run out of places to bury it... If you remember, people like IAEA and UN inspectors went to Iraq before the US military began operations, and Saddam's people wouldn't let them into their facilities to inspect. At least not until a month or two later, which afforded them plenty of time to load up whatever prohibited items they might have had into trucks and move it to somewhere else. How long does it take you to pack up everything you own and put it in a truck?
I won't critique everything you say, because your general message is good. Its good to be involved in your country's affairs, and try to help do what's best. One other question for you to think about:
So an Egyptian taxi driver told you he hated Americans, and that the thought Americans deserved what the terrorists had done. What does that tell you? ... all I can make of it is that he hates Americans... maybe he's sympathetic to terrorists for some reason... does that mean America has done wrong? If Khalid Sheik Muhammad tells you he hates America and that all Americans should be killed, does that mean America has done wrong? If Adolph Hitler tells you that he hates Jewish people, does that mean that Jewish people have done wrong? If your nasty old neighbor tells you she hates you and your girlfriend, does that mean either of you have done wrong?
Dan, I can see you're a pretty smart guy and good hearted, I think thats awesome. So I know you can understand that just because someone hates you, it doesn't mean that you've done wrong, or that you deserve it.
i dont care bout politics either... but it's different this time.. i really do hope obama will win thou i'm not american... i watched obama's speech on bbc when i was in london, i was glued to the tv basically, his talks was awesome!! AMERICA NEED A CHANGE!!!!! GOGO BARRACK OBAMA!! keepin my finger cross!!!!
