Okay, this is indeed a pretty rough treatment.
I for myself are caught between Religion and Science. There is the story about how the world got made in six days but there are also the facts about the age of the Planet wich i believe it till to the "big-bang" theory.
Why that? No scientist is able to find out what was before the "big-bang". Before the "big-gang" there was nothing and one theory says, there was a upcomming singularity causing that event.
But how did the singularity appear in nothing? No one can tell and therefore i say, that could have been god.

Many people are either ashamed of telling their opinion on that topic or they are afraid of the concequences they might experience from the faithful people.

As i said, i'm caught between the religion and Science. There are things that would be weird to accept but on the other site there are things i believe in. Still i would never condem someones religion, no matter if it's christian, islam, budhism, hinduism, jewish
everybody shall believe in what gives him strength to face bad times and the feeling of warmth

And still i can totaly understand why this was hurting you.
