Now if there is a video game I am expecting like no other (after World of Warcraft expantion 2 of course ^^) it's Metal Gear Solid 4.
During the past 10 years, Solid Snake has become one of the most famous video game character together with Cloud Strife & Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII.
Snake has everything:
-Charisma
-Wisdom
-Fighting Skills
-Good looking
And most of all, he's human. He has emotions, asks himself questions. He's a character you can easily identify with. To be honnest, after Final Fantasy 7 and the amazing scene where Sephiroth kills Aerith, I realized how much video games tend to come closer to movies but none of them did it as much as Metal Gear Solid did.
Director & Creator Hideo Kojima really did a great job with this serie and the last and final chapter is finally going to be revealed.

Since MGS 1 on playstation 1 and it's remake on Game Cube a few years later, Kojima decided to give a Hollywood dimention to the MGS series. Since MGS 2, Famous Hollywood composer Harry Gregson Williams (The Rock, Kingdom of Heaven, Armaggeddon, ...) joined the crew, giving MGS a even more epic dimention.
MGS 2 was a sales booster for second Gen console Playstation 2
We do not change a winning team and for MGS 3, composer Harry Gregson Williams stays and his work becomes even more accurate. Themes and deepness of the sound track has an added dramatic value to the story which is already a magnificent meta-plot.
Of course if this was only a game it would be ok and no need to make so much fuzz about it. But the particularity of MGS series is that it makes you think about the world we live in giving you a interesting perpective.
