I scribbled a few things today, and surprisingly doodled a few ideas and sketches. I think my problem is that when I am given a sheet of paper, I unconsciously expect myself to make a finished drawing each time...though I know that is not always the case.

    Brainstorming is good.

I didn't really know what I was drawing when I first started out with this picture above, but it gradually turned into two painters. They were commissioned to paint interior walls, but instead they got drunk and did a crap job. The guy says: "Pure excellence." I don't know why I would draw two drunk painters, but it's more interesting that just two guys sitting, which is what it started out as.

This guy has cool shoes with springs on the bottom and wings on the side, so he can jump extra high. The pose is kind of cute...so....I posted it. I have nothing else better to do anyways. His left leg is too long, but whatever.

This last drawing is actually something I finished today. I started out trying to draw for some art contest I found in a magazine about breast cancer, but my mind trailed towards something more....uh....disturbing....

heh...I sketched this twice to get the pose right, then drew it again on a large sheet of bristol paper twice because I placed the eye badly the first time and couldn't change it (I did it all in pen.) I know, the anatomy is not very good. I'm not that great with anatomy.

The art contest asked me to depict the concept of "Privacy" and showed a T-Shirt on the ad that said "I WANT MORE PRIVACY" in big letters (privacywear.com). Somehow, that concept of privacy and "I WANT MORE PRIVACY" inspired me to do this. Maybe that's what this woman's saying...?

I don't think this kind of thing is what the contest is looking for ahah. The way I interpret this, it describes more about women in society than breast cancer. Plus, it's kind of creepy.

It's weird, I can't really put into words the message I'm trying to convey here. It's like at the tip of my tongue, but every time I try to reason it out I'm missing something. Then again, I've never really been an articulate person.

What's also weird is that while I'm perfectly fine with drawing creepy things, I can't get myself to watch a single scary movie.
