Finally, I caught up with Sung, Roger and Julie in NY.  They had just gotten back from DC and looked pretty thrashed as they sat in the hotel's lobby where I was staying. We decided to get Vietnamese food, which happened to be one block from the hotel. The food wasn't too bad all and all, but the Pho was the weakest, I must say.  Sung kept asking why I didn't order in Vietnamese, and my reply was "The waiter is not Vietnamese!" Roger chimed in with "That's kinda of racist of you, Sung!"  The guys were slowly coming back to their old selves once food were consumed and their blood suger was back up.  We all were getting silly as Julie watched.  After some silly picture-taking session in front of the restaurant, we all said our goodnights. They were leaving the next morning for Philadelphia, part of the week long East coast GAME tour. As I was leaving them, I felt a tremendous "love" for them.  Everyone of them is so committed to our movie, and working so hard to get the film out there.  This is a very small film by industry standards; there's no publicity machine with its limitless financial resource.  Certainly, Roger and Sung have had their share of the big studio films and enjoyed the perks of that.  But, the "oneness", and passion that comes with something like FINISHING THE GAME, is priceless in my opinion.  It's the idea of empowering yourselves, initiating out of the box ideas.  And this is Justin Lin's belief and approach, and Sung and Roger and Julie ... I admire them for this.   And it is my hope our Asian-American community understands this passion, this idea of "empowering" ourselves, not just in the film industry, but all around, so that we can all stand united and establish a strong voice for our people.  No more complaining about how we are not positively represented; let's focus on WHAT we can do to represent ourselves the way WE want to be represented. And now, let's finish "the game." And kick some ass!!

Man you make me pure and proud of my Viet heritage...even though I'm technically born and raised in the United States...I feel an affinity to my Asian heritage and I believe in your way of the proactive positive approach to life rather than the negative self-wallowing...that will get us nowhere and fast...so we must act now and in an enlightening and upswing manner! haha...toodles, and hope you much more success in the future...I hope to work with you someday when I get my degree in Film/TV so I may produce some kind of film...where we can finally work together haha! Take care there Mr. Dustin...take care...~Loc Tai Pham
