Hoobastank, Canyon Club, New Songs..

Let me get this off my chest.  I’ve seen Hoobastank perform off their first album and knew they were an amazing live band.  But then they performed “The Reason” on an MTV award show and did a horrible job.  I firmly believe Doug did a bad job singing because they were promoting their album “The Reason” of which their first single was “Out Of Control”.  If you know that song, you know that it’s got a lot of screaming.  Any vocalist of any band can attest that touring with songs like “Out Of Control” will destroy your vocal chords.  So by the time Doug sang “The Reason” on MTV, it came out like crap.

The show was at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, which is their home town.  The vibe was amazing, it almost felt like a reunion for anyone who went to high school there.
