BOOM BABY!! IT'S WINTER TIME!! =)

YUP YUP YUP!! winter's coming & it's really getting colder here these days!!  this weekend, i was invited again at my friend's place..i was there last week, unplanned, cause we're suppose to watch "high school musical 3" but there had been a change of plan...

we went to SPADINA instead to buy food!! oh food food food!!

there's CHINATOWN here....& most of the stores are...well, CHINESE!!

it was raining hard that day, would you beleive these pictures were taken just around 4pm??

anyways, it was fun!!  being there is like being in HK streets again  cause everywhere there are chinese signages - - restaurants, stores & even the conversations we're hearing everywhere are in chinese..on our way there, we're making fun of the trolley bag we brought cause it's like a primary school kid's bag..

so we're making fun of our friend who's totting it saying "ei, is your milk bottle inside??" & "don't walk too fast..let me check your back, ill wipe your sweat so you won't get sick"

last week, their official cook wasn't around so they we're the ones to plan for the "menu of the weekend" - - fried noodles, steamed fish & i saw a "tocino" pack at the store..since we didn't have much time to cook when we got home, we just had the noodles on saturday night....packed with all the story-telling & jokes about just anything we could think of!! i can't even remember how we end up talking about memorial plans..

never ending story didn't last that long though cause we have an appointment with GOD the following day..  i cooked this "tocino" for breakfast....yum yum!! we all miss this..

& the steamed fish for lunch which too bad i wasn't able to get a pic...  i earned my  invitation this weekend cause of it..

so yup, by friday night i was packing my things for another get-together with friends!!

got myself a mitten - - with cookies..& off i went...taking pictures on my way to the hi way..

my hand got frozen when i took my mittens off...the first i made actually has my handprints but they looked like chicken feet.. i could be mistaken for a  "big bird on the loose"...

does this look like a big bird??

thankfully i didn't miss the 7:15 bus that friday night or else i'd need to wait another 45minutes for the next bus..i grabbed a coffee at the train station to keep me warm..

thankfully ( again ), the escalator at finch's already working properly..i remembered last week, the ascending escalator was the only one working..a young couple was infront of me when i get in & the 3 of us had the same problem - - how could we possibly get down to the subway??? the guy, slide his way down on the handle, leaving his girl behind & daring her to do the same..but instead, she stepped back abit then run towards the ascending escalator - - the same thought i was having. so with a hotdog sandwich &  dr. pepper on both hands, i ran after her...silly as we may seem, it was fun!!! but what was funnier about it was when we reached the bottom & turned the corner just 2 meters away - - there's stairs!!!

so this weekend our official cook is present. that means, the kitchen is hers..  i was assigned to go grocery shopping with another friend..closest store is joe's no frills but before we actually went, we roamed around the mall first.. hehe!!

& remembering i forgot to bring a towel, which usually happens , i bought one

i'm not a fan of hockey.just thought this one's cool.but i eventually left it at my friend's place

anyways, when we got home, we obviously are useless again till eating time, i've drifted off..when i woke up, lunch is ready......

yup!!lunch was ready...so as the dinner & the breakfast, lunch & dinner for the following day....cause what our official cook did was used up all the meat & chicken & sausage & eggs to make this "adobo"

what a disastaaahhh!!  yeah we ended up eating the same thing the whole weekend...

or call it piggin in(??)  cause we're cooped up in the house cause it's soooooooo cold!! oh it was like being inside the snowglobe when the wind blows...so soooo beautiful!!

back home on sunday night, i displayed this air freshener i bought for my room but i needed to wait for 48hrs for it's fragrance to come out....should have read the label uh??

but well, i was able to borrow a 3-disc of classic love songs to listen to....while waiting!
