Gary Fu Chi Hoo’s career as a professional commercial photographer started 10 years ago and he has an art portfolio from over 15 countries. After working with photographer Christopher Cheung Man Wah for 7 years, he joined South China Media as a fashion photographer. Some of his most captivating pieces can be found in magazines such as Baccarat Magazine, Beauty Pro, Esquire, Hong Kong Walker, Jessica, Jessica Code, Jmen, Lime Magazine, Lisa, Marie Claire, Orient Model and West East Magazine. Having worked with artists and models including, Amanda S, Andy Lau, Daniel Chan, Edison Chen, Hins Cheung, Ivana Wong, Janice Chan, Janice M.Vidal, Jessica C, Mandy Lieu, Michel Wang, Swing, and 2R, his experiences extend to shooting album covers for Universal Music Group and A-music East Asia Record. While being a product photographer at a top American packaging firm, he was distinguished for bringing photos of products to life. Angliss, Arte, Biotherm, El beaute, Elastoplast, Georg Jensen, Hane-sushi, HKTDC, Just Salad, Larme Violette, Levi’s, Luk Fook, MAC cosmetic, Mioggi, Nivea, Philip Stein, SK-II, Sony, Swarovski and Tiffany & Co. are some of his returning clients for print advertisement. Having a keen eye for color, he is a master at using special effect lighting. His passion and expertise has led him to successfully open his own studio in Hong Kong and he is a member of the HKPPN. He is active in the Christian community and his interests include French musicals, theatre improvisations, and philosophy.
