  If you have lived in Hong Kong for the past 5 years, you will have probably heard the names 'Ghost Souljah' and 'Alex Mikic' being said out of someone's mouth...
  
  If you have lived in Hong Kong for the past 5 years, you will have also suffered from the lack of an explosive opening performance to a concert of one of your favorite artists. Oasis didn't have an opening performer, Coldplay didn't either and Kanye West's show opened with Mr. Edison Chen...
  
  Dot. Dot. Dot. OK, my mistake. Coldplay DID have an opening 'band'. Their name was Mercury Rev. I didn't attend the event, though I am a fan of Coldplay but as I write this rant, my little iChat icon bounces once and my friend tells me: 'they were crap'.
  
  I still remember Edison Chen at Kanye West like it was yesterday. I will remember the 30 kids up on stage behind him waving their hands during his 'freestyle raps', the Jay-Z-style-inspired  acapella rap. And forever will I remember the line, "I may be chinese but my dick hangs down to my knees". LOL. Then I remember the many people in the audience who completely ignored the poor guy.
  
  I didn't write this blog entry to blast out at Edison Chen or Mercury Rev, whoever the fuck they are. I just hope everybody understands the importance of an opening act that sets the mood for the house band for the night! I've had my little rant, its time to get to the point of it all.
  
  As you probably know, Linkin Park's concert is scheduled for the 16th of August. Currently, a 'band search' for the opening performers to take the stage before Linkin park is taking place. And this announcement goes out to AlivenotDead, and AlivenotDead only.
  
  Hours ago, my buddy Alex Mikic (who has developed into a VERY strong performer since flying over to Australia to perform alongside ZenZenZo, a physical theatre company who are very big in that region) released his first solo work, bearing 11 tracks. It is titled Sounds From The Soul and is available for free download.
  
  
  
  Alex wrote, composed and recorded this in his own home during Year 12 of Secondary School.
  
  Now, I ask you all for a favor. Vote for Alex Mikic and Ghost Souljah to open the Linkin Park concert at Macao and you will not be disappointed. If you need a taste of our music before you make your final decision on us, visit our myspace and facebook. (links at the bottom of the blog entry)
