Glory Ngim is a Singaporean actress and host who works in theatre, television and film.
Theatre credits include Adela in ‘The House of Bernarda Alba’ (W!LD RICE), Vina in ‘Rafta Rafta: All In Good Time’ (HuM Theatre), which also toured at the 2010 Metroplus Theatre Festival in Chennai, India, Quaggle in ‘Our Island’ (Kipper Tie Theatre, UK/ I Theatre, SG), which also toured at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Eleanor Wong in ‘National Broadway Company’ (Theatreworks/ Esplanade), Kathy in ‘Company’ (Dream World Productions), Audrey in ‘Singapore Love Letters’ (Action Theatre), ‘Crazy Christmas: Ting Tong Belles’, ‘Crazy Christmas: Silver Screen Meets Silver Bells’ (Dream Academy Productions) and ‘Beauty & The Beast’ (W!LD Rice).
Television and Film: Series lead in ‘What Do Men Want’ (Channel 5 & Toggle) and ‘The Band’ (OKTO), as well as appearances on ‘Code of Law’ (Channel 5), ‘德士当家/ Taxi! Taxi!’ (SIMF Management) and ‘龙众舞/ Dance Dance Dragon’ (Boku Films). Host of ‘Beautiful Homes’ (Channel 5 & Toggle) and ‘SCOOPS!’ (OKTO). Commercials include BMW, Diva Universal, Singtel, MCYS, Union Energy.
Glory has also sung for the 2012 Singapore Sports Awards and 2012 Ministry of Manpower (Singapore) Workplace Safety & Health Awards.
Glory is a contralto (vocal range: E3 - B5). She sings Jazz, Soul and Musical Theatre. Additionally, she dances Jazz (ATOD Gold Medal), Ballroom (5 Latin & 2 Standard), Street Latin (Casino Rueda, LA & NY Salsa), Bhangra, and African Dance. She has a flair for producing distinctive character voices, truly odd sounds and Asian accents. Her natural accent is Transatlantic, something she is able to tweak to either British RP or Standard American.
