  after 2 busy days, i can finally sit down and update a bit on the OTS competition. i could just record a tiny bit of it coz my camera went out of battery!! argh!!
  
  
  

  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  The competition is not bad (except that the dj wasn't familiar with the normal flow of a dance battle) but I'm expecting more styles for the girls' battle.... as usual, guys (e.g. freestyle hiphop, Popping/locking, breaking...etc) are always more 'flexible' in body and minds...
  
  To me, a freestyle battle is a competition in the familiarity of all the songs in the specific genre (all the beats, bass, corals, and other details of songs that are suitable for the respective kinds of dance) and the imagination/presentation of the meaning of that particular part of song, which hits the audience in both their audio and visual senses.
  
  Also, preparation of your own unique 'weapons' is essential... u never know who'll be your 'enemy'... Somehow, girls may focus too much on their own sexiness, neglecting the 'showing off' of their styles/techniques/rhythm sense.
