  • A Day of Gratitude

    Today is Thanksgiving here in the US.  Of course as my Thursday is beginning your Thursday in Hong Kong is over but I wanted to include my friends in Hong Kong in this day of gratitude. 

    Of course we all have challenges each year but this day for me is always a day to put those challenges in perspective. 

    I have two dear friends who have been facing and continue to face serious medical challenges.  As I have watched them, I truly am honored to know them.  Both facing some really tough stuff I watch people who are heroic.  They are strong, positive and continue to fight.  I stand with them to help them to continue to fight.
    I give thanks today that they are still here sharing their lives with me and the rest of their family and friends. 

    Today I am grateful for the wonderful people I get to meet and work with both here in the states and also in  Hong Kong.   It is always a joy to watch creative people blossom.  It is truly one of the highlights of my life.  So thank you all for allowing me to be a small part of helping you grow. 

    As I bake in my kitchen and take my "famous" Corn Casserole and my decadent Pumpkin Sticky Cake to my friend's home later today I will think of all of you who have graced my life with joy, laughter, vulnerability and honor.
     You all are truly the jewels of my life.

    Pumpkin Sticky Cake sounds absolutely delicious, I hope you have had a great thanksgiving.

    I wish all the best to your two brave friends and for all the challenges they have to face, I'm sure for them having friends and family like yourself keeps them going strong and fighting with all the have.
