    This reminds me of all the hours I spent messing around with my Spirograph in the 60s and 70s.  If you aren't familiar with the Spirograph, you should check it out.  It's rather hypnotic to work it, because you move a smaller toothed wheel around inside of a larger toothed wheel over and over until you complete a design.  Then you can use other sized wheels to create other patterns superimposed on one another.  The thing is addicting.
