Rosa and I attended New Yorks Asian American International Film Festival where The Drummer screened on the closing day. The festival took place at the Asia Society on the Upper East side.

Guests and filmmakers chatting after a seminar.
Many old friends came to the screening. Rob Tinworth, editor of my first 35mm feature Rice Rhapsody, came from Rhode Island where he has relocated. Jean Tsien, award-winning editor of the Dixie Chicks documentary Shut Up and Sing, among others.

Inside The Corner Deli in Soho which looks like any other deli, theres a staircase that leads into a hip dance club. At night, there is a huge queue lining up to go in.
