Got a question in my guest book about when I reached my full height, and if I fit in in school. Oh how that question got me reminiscing on how thoroughly I did NOT enjoy high school. Yes I did reach full height in high school. No, I did not fit in that well. Not only was I this height, but I was not a master at the art of hair spraying my bangs into a foot high tsunami wave, (Anyone who was in high school in the U.S. around the same time as myself will know exactly what hairstyle I’m talking about), I was a baggy tie-dye t-shirt wearing dead-head, and yes stick thin. I had the usual nicknames like Olive Oyl and so on. I was on the tennis team, and was for a short time a football cheerleader, but even being a cheerleader or an athlete did not gain me access to the upper echelon’s of suburban high school society. I decided pretty early on as an adolescent that I’d rather spend my time with my horses, riding and competing, then going to keg parties. And yes, I came to that conclusion because I had never been invited to those keg parties . Anyways, glad to NOT be in high school anymore!

Thanks to everyone for supporting the Racks Calendar launch at Racks last night. I think everyone had a good time, and we even managed to sell some calendars!

| 在我的留言簿裏有個問題，我是什麽時候長到最高，在學校是否就很亮眼？哦，這個問題讓我回憶起很不愉快的高中生活。是的，我的確是在高中就長到了這麽高，但我不亮眼。不僅因為我很高，而且我很不善於用定型水把劉海整到一個腳那麽高的波浪狀（跟我差不多時期在美國上過高中的人一定知道我指的是哪種發型）。我那時是穿紮染寬大T恤的Grateful Dead粉絲，而且非常瘦，外號是奧麗薇之類。我是排球隊的，還當過一陣子足球隊啦啦隊長。但即使是啦啦隊長還是運動員，也沒有給我在那個郊外的高中裏帶來更高地位。在我的青春期，很早就決定寧願和我的馬呆在一起，學習騎馬參加比賽，然後可以參加狂飲啤酒的Party。是的，我有那樣的誌願是因為從未被邀請參加狂飲啤酒的Party。無論如何，很開心現在已不再是高中時代了!

感謝昨晚到Racks支持Racks掛歷推廣會的各位朋友!每個人都很開心，我們真的賣出了一些掛歷!

Haha...Racks calendar...how original.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your high school years. I loved high school and was nostalgic for it whenever I felt lonely in college. I always think it's tragic that people had such horrible experiences in high school. It shouldn't be that way. I'm glad you're doing well though! Look at you now...a lot of people wish they had your height! (including me! and probably my bf who is 6'3" ha)

wow! feel like you can read my mind! b/c you are so unimaginably beautiful that i cannot even think of you as being person with this problems. so now that i know, i can really look up to you more! i could never take one look at you and picture you being deadead in high school! life so full of mysteries? thank you for telling the truth. i have more curiosity about you, want to hear more.

high school, that seems ages ago, though for me it was only 2 years ago . Like you, I reached my full height in high school as well. I've been 1.72m since year 12 and haven't grown since then. I was taller than the entire asian population in my grade, including the guys, which they found intimidating!

At least you weren't in high school, when the mohawk came back in fashion.

I was 'in' during secondary school, not because of beauty (i had none) but because i was in the top 3 achievers in school. Loved me not for my beauty but my brain. Kekeke!

I can relate, for a while I had a pic of myself from junior high with the big pink plastic framed glasses, braces, and awful perm. I had the chicken legs, but not your height, instead I stopped at 5'2. Oh well, I fit my hubby's armpit rule....

Most of those in the "in" in high school, sadly, will look to those days as the highpoint of their life. It's much better that you were the "ugly duckling" with your full, mature life ahead.

How come everytime something happens at Rack's, I'm not in HK. This has gotta stop.

i wore these awful plastic discount glasses, sweat pants and t-shirt, and had long unkempt hair. but i think i was still relatively happy with my nerdiness.

i think it's good you weren't accepted into the "upper crust". you're much cooler and more real that way. who needs popularity anyways?

the pics are hott!! can we get the calender from the states? i bet not. i know what bangs you're talking about. some girls would use up the entire hairspray can for their bangs, but that was middle school for me. ppl dissed the bangs by high school.

im still in highschool!! blah, i hate it.. i have one more year and then im off to college which i hope is way more fun... i basically dont care about reputations and who is cool and not at school.. all i care about is my grades and stuff, cause thats whats really important..

Hmm...I think I only enjoyed high school because I was in pageantry (drill team/colorguard/dance). I have no idea what my popularity ranking was but I know I was in the top 5% in academics.

interesting...skin photos and college past

for high sch, was the vice prez of the students' council, but didnt like it coz all the stabbing (not back stabbing)...and sch std was pretty tough too. it's called Victoria Junior College, and incidentally , David Beckam yes the footballer visited the sch due to it having the same name as his wife, Victoria.

high school - for me it was pretty good, not because of popularity or anything like that, but just because i had a lot of great friends and we had a lot of fun together doing whatever.
