My Next Movie "Comfort Woman"

It's been a busy end of the year and start to the New Year. After getting my body into shape for my movie, I finally started shooting on Dec 13th in Rui Li (Yunnan), China. So far, it has been a great experience. The cast has been fun to work with and my director, Bruce Li (not Bruce Lee) has taught me many things along the way. I love the story, my character, and the importance of doing this movie. Not many people know the history behind the comfort women (that includes me). So, I am thankful to have this opportunity and to learn even more about Chinese History. The movie is called "Comfort Woman" ("黎明之眼“）

Just before starting the shoot we had a press conference. I'm so happy to do the movie with my mom and my sister. I'm playing the younger version of the same character that my mom is playing and my sister is playing my daughter when she grows up, of course...

I have a few days in Hong Kong to rest a bit and then I'm leaving tomorrow to finish the rest of the shoot in Hen Dian. Then I come back to Hong Kong with just enough time to rehearse for Musical Moments. The show will take place in Central, City Hall in the Concert Theatre on Wed, Jan 22nd at 8pm. I'm very excited to be reunited with my friends to put on the 8th Musical Moments. Pls come and support us!!!

Great pic. I'm a huge fan of director Bruce Le. I've been trying to get in touch with him for an interview for my website (www.clonesofbrucelee.co.uk). Do you happen to have any contact details for him?

Marsha is truly a unique and talented artist. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and studied musical theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in Manhattan, New York. While attending AMDA, she trained in singing, acting, and various types of dance including jazz, tap, and ballet. After graduation, Marsha decided to pursue her career in Hong Kong. She began as a model for Elite Modeling Agency. Then, when she unexpectedly entered in the 1999 Miss Hong Kong Pageant, she received 1st runner-up and continued on to represent Hong Kong and China in the 1999 Miss World Pageant in London. Marsha’s acting career began with the hit TVB sitcom “War of the Genders”. Her character in the sitcom brought her recognition throughout Hong Kong and parts of China. After working for TVB for 1 year, she decided to venture outside of Television and start working in film.

Marsha began her film career in action and martial arts movies for which she had to undergo rigorous training. The hard work paid off as she is now known for her martial arts abilities and it has become one of her many strengths. Marsha also starred in the legendary comedy “Men Suddenly in Black” as well as its sequel. “Men Suddenly in Black 2” has become a box office hit in Hong Kong and her performance in this film has been well received by viewers.

Over the last few years, Marsha has focused her career on live performances in music and dance. She has participated in many musicals in Hong Kong including “Sound of Music”, “Annie”, “Hong Kong Nocturne” and “Musical Moments”. And internationally, she was invited to perform in the “Andrew Lloyd Webber Gala” in Estonia along with top vocalists from New York, London, Norway, and Germany. She released her own album in 2006 and has been in the live jazz music scene ever since.
