Late last week Bey Logan and I decided that all of the post production work on The Blood Bond would be done in Hong Kong. There was originally some discussion of doing post here in Los Angeles. Due to the minimal budget of the film, post production in Los Angeles turned out to not be viable. What this means is that I will have little participation in the editing,sound and music aspects of the film. Although i was originally disappointed with the decision to do post in Hong Kong,I have full confidence in Beys' ability to tell the story and edit the action sequences in a way that I originally envisioned. Bey will be sending me a rough cut for my notes and I am sure will try to include me in all decisions important to The Blood Bond. Thank you all for your support. Tell your friends to get on the imdb boards about this project.

I would like to thank Bey for giving me the opportunity to write and direct a film that I feel passionate about. Again, I thank you for your support

Michael, I was just wondering - did Bey save anything from the original footage that you filmed, maybe on the off-chance that U.S. fans would like to see the movie you shot, the way you wanted it? Just wondering, can't hurt to ask right?

Hi Michael, I recently had a chance to see the film that 'The Blood Bond' turned into. It actually came out much better than I expected. (I had extremely tempered expectations!)

I understand the difficulties you had in making it. But except for the fact that its not really your voice in about 25% of your scenes... but your efforts weren't totally wasted!

I've been trying to keep up with info regarding your movie Blood Bond and I'm wondering when its due to come out. Would it be possible for you to let us, meaning your fans, know when its coming out and if its going to be in theaters or straight to Video. That would be great.

So does anyone know WHEN this movie is coming out? Will there be a TV promo for it like there was for Avatar and the other films that came out in theater or will there be any type of notification that its even out on DVD. I found out about the movie Streets of Blood through a friend, because nothing was said and I don't even think it made it to theaters here in Maryland (in the U.S. east coast, that is).

Hey Michael, I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to do POST in Los Angelos, but I'm sure that Bey will do a good job.  I've read every post that Bey wrote regarding Blood Bond and I'm very anxious to see the film once its released.  Will it be released in theaters or is it going straight to DVD?  I hope it gets released in theaters and that it does very well.

I've been a huge fan of yours a long time (seems like forever).  I have enjoyed all of your movies. Congratulations on your directorial debut and I wish you the best of luck in the New Year.  You deserve to finally be recognized for all of your hard work (I know that there are people who remember you as "John Connor's father") .  Please forgive me if I am rambling - I have a health issue that causes me to ramble and also forget what I want to say because my short term memory was affected when I had three mini-strokes.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck on this movie and hope to see it in theaters (or DVD, whichever) very soon.

It's a shame that the post production cannot be done in LA but as you say I am sure you will be kept included with all important decisions with regards to The Blood Bond.

After all that work you must trust Bey implicitly to have him edit without you being hands on. Sound and music are such a huge part of post, are you having someone come in to score it?

I am actually sorry to hear that. It seems like the two of you were in such synch on the set yet had enough friction to debate and find the best solution to make the scene better. That kind of alchemy can be so important at this stage. Sad news.

Michael Biehn was born on July 31, 1956 in Anniston, Alabama, grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska, and at age 14 moved with his family to Lake Havasu, Arizona, where he won a drama scholarship to the University of Arizona. He left prematurely two years later to pursue an acting career in Hollywood. His first big role was as a psychotic fan stalking Lauren Bacall in The Fan (1981) and later appeared in The Lords of Discipline (1983). He hit the big-time when he was cast as Kyle Reese, the man sent back through time to stop Arnold Schwarzenegger in James Cameron's The Terminator (1984). This established a good working relationship with Cameron, a relationship that should have catapulted Biehn to international stardom. He starred in Cameron's subsequent films, Aliens (1986) and The Abyss (1989), the latter a standout performance as unstable Navy SEAL officer Lt. Hiram Coffey. In the 1990s he starred in films like Navy Seals (1990), K2 (1991) and was particularly memorable as Johnny Ringo in Tombstone (1993). Biehn is the father of four sons.His significant other is actress Jennifer Blanc. He just made his directorial debut on The Blood Bond.
