Welcome to Jecheon!!
JIMFF is a music & film festival which takes place in Jecheon, the small suburban city
with a wide glass-like lake and foresty mountains in S.Korea. Only 2 hours of driving from
Seoul!
I was waiting for the limo pick-up to the ceremony. Funny, they picked up actors
in their black limos to the red carpet but it was only about 100 M away.
Well thank you for being considerate though..:) I could have arrived there in 20 min by walk with my heels on!!

And now, the reception party. Nothing glamorous, but simple and good food and wine
make it perfect.

With my agent Dylan. He is also a well-known attorney among entertainment business ppl
in Seoul.

With Hyona, an actress who is also in my agency and Dylan's assistant Mr. Park.
Now, I have to say that I was just soo nervous when I first met Peyman Yazdanian.
Peyman is an Iranian film musician, composer and pianist who has written music for one
of my favorite directors, Abbas Kiarostami!!! >_<
(c.f. Kiarostami's film <The Certified Copy> was screend in HKIFF this year. I loooveeed it.)

Peyman, me and Johannes. Johannes is a film musician based in Barcelona, but he is
also actively involved in programming film fests in Europe.
We shall meet in Cannes, or Berlin next time ;)

And the night slowly broke into the dawn... talking with my director youjin by the river,
we stayed up all night as Korea's most popular film musician Kim, Junseok joined us
at 3 am! We talked about Korean cinema, film music, and travelling...

Koreans... we love drinking but we also love staying up all night. This is crazy!
Concerts by the lake until 4 am and films showing until 5 30 am in cinemas!!
It was raining and people still bounced like they were performing some kind of a ritual
to the deities of this lake. All in their free raincoats. Howling and jumping and screaming.

Youjin wasn't so excited for this but once the concert hit the crowd, she was so into it!

me. Wet face, wet clothes and sleepy eyes @.@
So for the three days of my stay in Jecheon, my daily schedule started from lunch and
ended around 5 am next morning! Ah.. festivals, festivals, festivals.

My director youjin (she's the hottest director alive in Seoul, I bet!) and I went to watch
Spike Jonze's short film which.. didn't really turn out to be that amazing.
But the night was still wide awake when we came out of the theater at 3 30 am.
Great!!! @*@
