Han Yew Kwang’s 18 Grams of Love will have its last screening in Sinema Old School on the 27th of February 2009! If you have not watched this show, this is your last chance! For more information on showtimes, check out the Sinema Old School calendar.

Synopsis: 18 Grams of Love is the tale of Zihua and Ah Hui who have been friends for a long time. They suspect that their wives are cheating on them. In order to allay their suspicions, they decide to “test” their wives by having the other write a love letter to the other’s wife, to see if she will respond. But as Zihua and Ah Hui get caught up in their ploy, they start to ignore their own wives. Subsequently, their lonely wives also start to respond to the love letters that they received. One day, Zihua’s wife writes back to Ah Hui and proposes a meeting in a love hotel…

Award-winning photo artist/filmmaker Nicholas Chee has been in the forefront of Digital Imaging and Video.

He is currently the Managing Director of Sinema Media Private Limited, a social enterprise set up to support the development of the Singapore Film Industry, as well as Singapore’s vision of becoming Asian’s media hub.

He is a graduate of Temasek Design School's Visual Communications program in Singapore and has been trained in both traditional and digital photography as well as graphic design.

On his commercial front, he has been commissioned to art direct and shoot for major international clients such as SWISS Air, Fendi, Intercontinental Bali, Sony, Panasonic, Sony Ericsson, Bum Equipment and CNN.

He is one of the first few digital filmmakers who has shot a feature length movie; 'Becoming Royston', entirely on a High Definition file-based workflow.

Nic is an Apple Pro Evangelist as well as a camera design consultant for Panasonic’s professional range of broadcast cameras. He also consults for filmmakers on file-based high definition workflow conversion and implementation.

Since 2005, Nic has been working with leading Digital Imaging and Video vendors such as Apple, Adobe, Epson, Panasonic and X-Rite, Samsung to develop workflow solutions for the market.

As a co-founder of the first independent high definition cinema dedicated to Singapore and Asian independent films, he conceptualised and implemented the setup of Sinema Old School which is pioneering in low-cost HD post-production, distribution, exhibition workflows and techniques.

He also founded Sinema.SG, a web-based media covering all news of Asian independent film scene.

Nic also teaches both the Craft and Art of Photography and Filmmaking and is a strong advocate of the need for visual and media literacy.

He is currently taking a sabbatical in his MA in Photography at Europe's largest and leading centre for art communication and design, the University of the Arts London - London College of Communication.
