• Nokia <Create-an-app> competition! have your awesome app come true and win up to $30k HKD in cash!

  You play Angry Bird everyday, but have you ever thought about creating your own app? You don’t need to know how to design. Just come up with a great idea and Nokia will make your concept come true, with $30,000HKD cash prize for first place!
  
  How to participate:
  1)        Have a fresh idea for an App
  2)        For the heading fill in “I want Nokia to have (name of the App)” (in 20 words) For example: I want Nokia to have an App for measuring radiation
  3)        For the content fill in #Nokia_Appstitle: (name of the App)description: (description of your App) (in 800words) For example: #Nokia_Appstitle: radiation measurer. description: Using Nokia mobile, switch on the ovi map and radiation in nearby areas will be shown
  4)        You can also include pictures/sketches of your App concept as part of the content
  5)        “Submit” when ready
  
  
  After you take part in this competition, make sure you tell you friends to vote for you on [www.nokia.com.hk/smartphone, and have a look at other people’s crazy ideas
  
  Prizes and how to win
  Prizes may be distributed according to the order of participation, please see below:
  
  How to win:
  Between 24/3/2011 and 14/4/2011, Nokia will judge the creative app entries according to the following criteria:
  1)        40% creativity
  2)        30% feasibility
  3)        30% online voting results        
  
  
  Prizes:
  - First place winner will receive $30,000HKD, the second place winner will receive $20,000HKD and the third place winner will receive $10,000HKD cash prize. The candidate with the most votes online will also win $5,000HKD.
  - Nokia reserves the right to make the final decision.
  
  *Voters need to be registered facebook members and login to the site through facebook connect to vote for their favourite concept with a “like”. Completing the above steps indicates a vote has been casted. For the fairness of the competition, even though a person can cast unlimited votes per day, each facebook account can only vote for the same concept once.
  
  Details on how winners will be contacted:
  1.        Winners will be contacted via email.
  2.        Winners will be contacted by phone by our staff.
  3.        When collecting the price, please bring a copy of the award notice and a valid proof of identity.
  4.        Winners must collect their prize within the stated period, and the prize will no longer be valid after the deadline. Sorry for the inconvenience.
