  • No pain, no gain!

    When your heart if filled with grief, nothing in the world seems to matter anymore. What you see is not what other people see. (You can't see color.) You think, nothing will ever be the same again. (And, it won't be.) You fear nothing because what could be worse? (Nothing.)

    The sad thing is, it can be worse. Can't it? You could lose more people you love. You could experience more sadness. You won't be able to help more people. The more people you love, the worst it'll be.

    Knowing this reality is extremely depressing. Who wants to live if this is what life is about? Not I. If these are the "realities"of life people speak of, I don't want to get to know any more of them. If getting old means more sadness, then, I don't want to get old (anymore).

    Then...things happen, "angels" (re-)appear, you start smiling again, people share their stories with me, the city talks to me, strangers introduce a new perspective...and I realize I must have hope or...

    I'm screwed

    绰琪，我能看的懂，不过用英文来写就不行了。人生不如意事，十常居八九。最难的就是一个看透。想开点，日出东山落西山，愁也一天喜也一天，活好当下最重要。开开心心每一天啊！如果愿意，就早点回来，我们都很想念你，你懂得！还有，少喝点酒，对身体不好。

    I can relate to what you are saying. 2009 was maybe the saddest year of my 33 years on this planet. But also you never know what happens tomorrow, it's not always bad or sad but sometimes life has some really nice surprises too. Keep ur hope up. I feel that 2010 will be a good year!
