• ScreenSingapore announces more celebrity names as countdown begins

  Taiwanese stars Weng Tzymann, Kai Ko and Yao Yao to add to the glamour at film premiere red carpets
  
  

  
  
  
  Singapore, 27 November 2012 – More celebrities have been confirmed to grace the red carpet during the ScreenSingapore gala film premieres. Held in conjunction with Asia TV Forum & Market, the second edition of ScreenSingapore features the world premieres of The Last Tycoon (大上海) as its opening film on 4 December and The Wedding Diary II (结婚那件事之后) as its closing film on 6 December.
  
  It was earlier announced that the cast and crew of The Last Tycoon, including director Wong
  Jing (王晶), producer Andrew Lau (刘伟强) and actors Chow Yun Fat (周润发), Huang Xiaoming (黄晓明), Yolanda Yuen (袁泉) and Joyce Feng (冯文娟), will be walking the red carpet at Shaw Theatres Lido on 4 December. Director Adrian Teh (郑建国) and the regional cast comprising Malaysia’s Aniu (阿牛 / 陈庆祥), Hong Kong’s Elanne Kwong (江若琳), and Kara Hui (惠英红), Taiwan’s Cynthia Wang (王心如) and Singapore’s Marcus Chin (陈建彬) and Zhu Houren (朱厚任) will be doing so for the premiere of their film, The Wedding Diary II, at Golden Village, VivoCity, on 6 December.
  
  Taiwanese sweetheart, Weng Tzymann (翁滋蔓), who recently accepted ScreenSingapore’s invitation to be an ambassador, has confirmed her attendance at the event. The popular show- host, actor and singer, will be lending her presence at both film premieres. Taiwanese rising stars Kai Ko (柯震东) and Guo Shu Yao / Yao Yao (郭書瑤/瑤瑤) who are in town to promote their film, When WOLF Falls In Love With SHEEP (南方小羊牧场), will be attending the red carpet for The Last Tycoon.
  
  Seasoned China TV and film actors, Gao Hu (高虎) and Xin Baiqing (辛柏青), who also have appearances in The Last Tycoon, have confirmed they are joining the activities at ScreenSingapore. They will be walking the red carpet for The Last Tycoon.
  
  A strong turnout of local artistes is also expected at the red carpets including Jack Neo
  (梁智强), the director of the current hit Singapore film Ah Boys to Men (新兵正传). A sequel
  is in the works and will open in theatres in February 2013. Various artistes from Beam Artistes,
  Fly Entertainment and Media Corporation of Singapore (MediaCorp Singapore) will also be
  attending the events.
  
  Leading French actress Sophie Marceau along with actors Christopher Lambert, Charles Berling, Fleur-Lise Heuet, Anne Le Ny, Dimitri Storoge as well as directors Anne Fassio, Jean-Christophe Dessaint and Pierre Jolivet are amongst some of the names who will be gracing the red carpet on 5 December for French film Happiness Never Comes Alone (Un bonheur n’arrive jamais seul), at The Cathay. This is the opening film for the Societe Generale Private Banking 2nd Rendezvous with French Cinema to be held from 5 to 9 December 2012. Organised by Institut Français, Unifrance and Alliance Française de Singapour and sponsored by Societe Generale Private Banking, it is being held concurrently with ScreenSingapore.
