What do you think about this building, which were recently constructed in my hometown? It will be used as a home for elderly people and lies next to the railway station.

Personally I don't like this kind of modern architecture though the usage of french windows and a very good isolation of the building offer a high quality of living. Unfortunately you can see this kind of residential houses in many cities now .

I think it looks good, If it's really practical for elderly people and price is suitable it can be good offer.

In my town also I can see more and more similar new style buildings.

I think it's better than old architecture - maybe I feel it because I see many old wasted buildings.

We have still many tower blocks (10 floors) and they aren't  comfortable for living - I live in such one.

Not keen on it, I prefer old architecture, modern buildings and construction just don't have the character or flair of the older designs. There is no shape or style to this kind.
Sorry but likewise with you Silke I was born in the wrong century :D

You meant "insulation."  To insulate.  Yeah, that's great.

I can see that kind of buildings here too, I personally don't like, looks too much like cheap hotel to me... I don't know. Personally, I wouldn't want to live in that kind of building myself...

hah, okay - seems like I'm born in the wrong century :P
Yes, Flag, the ground floor looks like that. They neighbourhood is save and it's close to the city centre as well. I was referring to isolation for energy saving. Newly constructed houses in Germany usually need very few energy to be kept warm.

I agree with Lianngaihte and Skinph55.  Looks nice to me.  And as long as they have some secluded green space in the back, or better yet green space on the roof, it's a simple but not boring facade.  It looks like shops on the ground floor?  Old people still need to walk for some shopping, to feel like they belong -- is it a decent neighborhood?  I don't know what you mean by "a very good isolation."

I think they have some open space in the backyard. On the street in the front of the building is too much traffic.

It looks functional and the space usage should be good but for elderly, more open space with green and a resort feel should be better.
