I wear a simple brown wool jacket  - but I just remembered an orange wool jacket sold in the stores last winter *sigh*

Beautiful fabric.  My mom used to sew for us.  I guess with 3 girls it was a way for us to dress well but less expensively.  Anyway, she'd sew beautiful wool skirts, shorts, trousers/pants and jumpers and then buy us the sweaters or blouses to go with them.  They had something back then (the 60's) called "bonded wool" which had a smooth polyester lining bonded somehow directly to the back side of the wool fabric.  As a result, you could wear the skirt even without a slip.  It was also great in shorts and trousers too.  It also served to give the skirt or pants more....structure...so it didn't lose its shape as easily, particularly in the rear end area.  I still don't understand why that process is no longer used with wool fabric.  I've looked for it in the fabric stores.   I think its better than having a satin lining sewn on the inside.

What kind of jacket do you wear with the trousers?  That fabric must look beautiful with your coloring.

Yup, they are - and a bit scratchy
