  • Sahara winds

    At the moment we experience or rather suffer from an unusual weather situation in Germany (Europe). North winds of the Sahara are crossing the Mediterannean Sea and the Alps and provide us with hot humid winds and temperatures above 30°C. This does not happen very often but when it happens you feel like stepping into an oven, when you open the door (luckily it cools down at night). After the next rain the cars and nature are going to be covered with sand  from the Sahara. This weather correlation may sound impossible, but take a look at the satellite pic taken this morning:



    Do you see the band of clouds crossing the Mediterranean Sea?

    By the way: these winds provide our soils with constant nutrition so that they stay fertile...

    yea, now in Poland also it's like into an oven, I heared something about sand  from the Sahara, but luckily it don't comes here.
    In Europe (Germany, Poland,...) we have strange climate - in winter -20 C, in summer +35C, Luckily recently winters are warmer

    At least something good comes out of it when the soil is nurtured. Sounds pretty bad with the heat & sand tho.

    Wow!  I didn't know this!

    We had record heats back on May 17th (95 degrees Farenheit) because winds moved much warmer air from Mexico and California up to where I live...the winds came from inland instead of across the Pacific so they were incredibly warm!  But we don't have to worry about sand.

    Oh this kind of weather happens several thousand years from time to time - it has nothing to do with the climate change

    Wow, that's pretty unusual. Each year the weather of the world is changing, it's getting pretty messed up.
