This week and hopefully the first half next week we have the opportunity to train Taiji with master Lue De He, Wushu headcoach of the Henan province and also successor of Li Jin Wu. Our academy has a cooperation with him for already many years.
So yesterday evening we had first class with him and his assistant. It was a pleasure to watch him and he was very kind and friendly. He concentrated on watching the state of all Taiji students of our academy and ran with us the Yang 24 and 42 and did some basic corrections and told us some core principles.
Some basic words you have to know in chinese to understand his instructions are:
放松 (fang song) = relax
yi/ji = sth. like concentration/focus on/conscience (don't know the chinese character)
没有(mei you) = without/does not
好(hao) = good
The rest you can get from his demonstrations
.
The coach of my class only told us to join yesterday but actually there is taiji class every evening and also on saturday so I decided to go also on Wednesday and Saturday, though they maybe do forms I haven't learned yet. But I can learn so much from him, that I am going to join. I think only in Yang 24 it is going to take me quite a while to integrate the things I've learned yesterday
Edit: The class on Wednesday evening was great, though a friend and I only stayed for one hour because they started with the Yang24 und 42 and then switched to Wu and Chen and we can only run the Yang 24 completely and the Yang42 half way, so it did not make any sense to stay longer (and I did not want to endanger myself to taking up too much energy again). But we had the opportunity to see them running the Wu 108, which is going to be my next task after completing the Yang 42
.
My schedule for the next days:
Saturday: 10 am to 1 pm
Sunday: 10 am to 1 pm
Monday: 8 to 9 pm
Tuesday: 8 to 9 pm maybe also longer because it's going to be his last lesson.
I have to pay extra for these lessons but I think they are worth it.
And on Friday evening there's also our ASBC-Roundtable taking place
