bye bye ice skates :'(((

A friend of mine and I went for ice skating this afternoon. I picked up my good old skates out of the cellar and we went there. I put them on and made just a few steps in the changing room and suddenly I felt that something was wrong...I took a look at my right foot and what I saw totally pissed me off.. on the outer side the shell was broken almost along the complete foot !
For explanation: They are not made of leather but those with a hard shell out of plastic and had already reached a good age...

So I had to rent some and I picked some for figure skating, but I didn't get familiar with them because my old one's had skids for ice hockey....I couldn't put the side pressure on the ice the way I was used too and the ice was pretty bad (too soft) because the ice stadium is an open one and so the quality of the ice is related to the outside temperatures.. so we only skated for almost  an hour (I only managed to make two or three rounds in total) and then went into a café and for a walk in the park....

I think I have to get new ones because I prefer to adjust the inner sole a bit because otherwise my feet would hurt too much...
